Gîselher Jung studied guitar and graduated at the "Hochschule für Musik Köln, Abteilung Wuppertal".

He teaches at the Velbert municipal "School of Music and Fine Arts", where he was head of the Guitar Department. National and international guitar competitions or festivals invite him frequently as lecturer or juror. He performed recitals in various chamber music ensembles.

Students in his guitar class have been prize winners in many national and international competitions. He was one of the founders and organizers of the International Competition for Young Guitarists "Andrés Segovia".
